17 – 18 March 2016 – Global Pound Conference Singapore

The Global Pound Conference (GPC) is the place for you to meet like-minded and passionate individuals and stakeholders to discuss the future of dispute resolution and access to justice.

PMN supports AMA members’ activities.

Early bird EXTENDED TO 7 Feb 2016; there is also group registration which is cheaper!

The Global Pound Conference (GPC) is the first of the rejuvenated GPC series of international conferences, kick-starting in Singapore from 17 – 18 March 2016. The GPC has its roots in the April 1976 Pound Conference, a seminar held in St Paul, Minnesota and named in honour of Roscoe Pound, the reforming Dean of Harvard Law School in the 1920s-30s.

The 2016-17 series will facilitate the development of 21st century commercial and civil dispute resolution tools, at domestic, regional and international levels. It will convene all stakeholders in dispute resolution – commercial parties, lawyers, academics, judges, arbitrators, mediators, policy makers, and others – at conferences around the world.  These conferences will provoke debate on existing tools and techniques, stimulate new ideas and generate actionable data on what corporate and individual dispute resolution users actually need, both locally and globally. http://singapore2016.globalpoundconference.org/

The Core Questions to Shape the Future
The GPC Series events will centre on a set of Core Questions that will be asked to all stakeholders involved in dispute resolution. At each event participants will be introduced to various issues, asked the Core Questions relating to them, and discussions will ensue based on the responses given, and in particular any notable differences between stakeholder groups.
